My DD is nearly 8 months, and thought it was about time I got her onto finger foods. I hated this stage (eg gagging, choking) when I went thru it with my DS but it has to be done. Anyway my DD seems to be fine with Rusks but when i give her something like an arrowroot biscuit, she just takes huge chunks of it, gobbling it up soooo fast, most ends up on the top of her mouth, so I have to skoop it out before she tries to swallow it all at once. How do I get her to stop taking huge bites? should I wait another month for toast, biscuit etc?
I find she also eats too fast with normal food, its mashed but she likes to swallow it quicker than chewing it.......so the only thing I seem to be able to do to slow that down is to space out the spoonfuls...
Any suggestions would be soo apreciated!
